My passion and education is in art, design and writing. In college while majoring in art and journalism, I managed a small bookstore and took a significant detour to climb the ladder at Barnes & Noble during their superstore expansion in the early 1990's. As a store manager I lead the openings of the Northern California and Oregon markets, establishing three new locations from the ground up.
I transitioned back into the creative world as an operations director for an art company and from there went on to sales and marketing management positions in small to medium companies with both domestic and international markets. Throughout I was jokingly called the 'Deputy IT Department,' which evolved into website design and developing e-commerce solutions.
In 2001 I established my own design, web and marketing house and have since been able to focus on what I love: helping fellow small business owners create, brand and market while sharing my experience in large and small business management of various genres with our clients.
